Meet Benjamin

I’m Benjamin, a licensed telehealth therapist based in Sacramento, California serving teens and adults throughout the state. My work centers on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, relationship challenges, academic and work stress, and major life transitions. I also provide cognitive behavioral therapy for individuals experiencing early psychosis.

I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and somatic principles to tailor treatment to each individual. While these frameworks guide my clinical thinking, the process is always collaborative. We begin by identifying goals — even if those goals start as tentative guesses — and refine them as therapy evolves.

Change is rarely linear. Sometimes we focus on symptom relief. Other times we explore identity, relationships, or long-term growth. My role is to adapt with you, offering both steadiness and challenge when appropriate.

I also prioritize ongoing learning, research, and consultation to ensure that the care I provide reflects current best practices.

Teens, Parents, and Schools

A significant portion of my clinical background comes from working in school settings, especially in special education, with teenagers and their families. This experience has shaped my understanding of:

  • Academic pressures and performance anxiety

  • Neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD and autism

  • Family dynamics and parenting stress

  • The complexities of emerging adulthood

I bring this perspective into teletherapy, helping adolescents and adults build skills, clarity, and resilience within the broader systems they live in.

Early Psychosis

I have experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy for individuals experiencing early psychosis. While teletherapy can be appropriate in certain situations, active episodes often require coordination with in-person providers and a broader treatment team. I am open to consultation to determine what level of care is most appropriate.
